My ‘name’ is Dan and this site is dedicated to the singular purpose of educating consumers about acne products. I specifically emphasize the top acne products being sold on the internet. I am currently a registered nurse (or a murse as my friends call it) working on my MS and PhD in Nutritional Sciences. Nutrition plays a major role in the treatment of acne.
Why do you remain anonymous?
First and foremost I am a husband and father to a 2 year old baby boy. I am also employed and a full time student (whose schools boosters are some pretty powerful names in the diet industry) so I need to remain anonymous. Companies that make acne products are pretty litigious ie they will sue anything with a heartbeat. They don’t like it when consumers post, write or blog about their product and say that ‘it didn’t work’. I try not to say anything damaging or misleading about any company, but the same can’t be said about visitors to my website. My choice in remaining anonymous is to protect mine and my family’s reputation from libel. If you think I’m being paranoid, think again. In my research of various claims that companies make about their competitors, I’ve come across some of the most degrading, racist, hateful comments being pinned on certain companies — only to discover that the whole thing was fabricated by their competitor to tarnish their image.
Where do you get your motivation?
As a nurse I have seen many teenagers and adults come to our offices seeking help with acne. In speaking with the parents of these kids, I was amazed to learn how much money they were dumping down the drain on acne products that did very little to improve their children’s skin condition.
Do you personally use the acen products that you review?
No. I rely solely upon the information left by consumers of acne products. I hope that you will post any comments and acne product reviews that will benefit our readers.
Are all acne products created equally?
Not even close! There are some acne products (which I won’t name) that are horrible products. Inferior ingredients + No guarantee = Bad Acne Product. End of story.
