DermaQuest Skin Therapy Glyo 10% is a very expensive topical acne fighting product that contains many different ingredients that can cause irritation to skin that is sensitive. The product is said to balance the acids it contains with all-natural hydrators and herbal extracts. The product is said to be effective for anyone who suffers from acne no matter age, race, or gender and promises to knock out your existing acne as well as prevent future breakouts.
Benefits
According to DermaQuest Skin Therapy Glyo 10%’s online information, the product has four distinct benefits that come with daily use of the product. These benefits include:
* The lessening of dark pigmentation caused by acne.
* The stoppage of bacteria from collecting.
* The bringing down of inflammation of the sebaceous gland.
* The exfoliation of the skin and the follicular walls.
These benefits are all well and good but the claims are very suspect as the product contains many different acids and irritants that typically cause the redness in your face to increase, not decrease.
What’s in it?
Since DermaQuest Skin Therapy Glyo 10% is a topical product and as previously mentioned there are a number of acids and irritants in the product, you should examine the following ingredients before you consider purchasing this product:
* Salicylic Acid 2%
* Azelaic Acid 5%
* Glycolic Acid 10%
Now to be fair, there are a number of other ingredients that are in this product, but those three alone are enough to set off a five-alarm fire on your face. If you have ever been subjected to irritation in the past when using other acne products, take a look at the ingredients and there is a good chance that you may find one of these ingredients among the complete list, but rarely will you find all three. By the way, these are the main irritants; there are others in the mix as well.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO EXCHANGES.
That is in all caps for a reason. This product cannot be returned for any reason so just beware that there is no free lunch here. If you buy it you have no choice but to like it and at the price they are charging for it, you better hope it works.
Conclusion
There is literally hundreds of acne fighting products on the market today that have all sorts of irritants and acids in them. Almost every company selling these products will tell you that these acids ‘target’ your acne, which is a true claim, but the acids will also eat everything in its way to the acne and you will never see that printed. When it comes to mixing acids and moisturizers it truly is an art form, but it seems that perhaps DermaQuest Skin Therapy Glyo 10% has too much of what they consider a good thing in the mix. The bottom line with this product is that it is not worth the price you will pay for it. If you still feel compelled to burn your acne away, you can do so for a much lower price with a different product. Then at least you will have enough money left over to buy some burn cream.

I find it interesting how you can point out the ingredients on a competitor but yet you don’t display the ingredients on the referring products. You wrong about Azelaic acid by the way, it is used as lessen post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, it is non toxic and non irritating. Not to mention, Dermaquest highly recommends that you balance the skin first and any educated professional would know to lean on the side of conservative. That’s why they sell only to professionals, cant be found as easily online. And also, this is a spot treatment product. Also, your claim that the cream, which by the way is the wrong displayed name, is a 5% glycolic, not 10%. Please get your facts straight before you slam a competitor.
