ZenMed’s Derma Cleanse System for Acne includes a cleanser, acne gel and internal treatment supplement to cure acne conditions and prevents future outbreaks. The primary idea behind the ZenMed system is to treat the problem internally and externally in order to conquer the most stubborn acne problems.

How it Works

ZenMed Derma Cleanse uses a 3-step system to treat acne problems. Step One involves the Derma Cleanse capsules containing natural botanicals that claim to regulate hormone levels, clean the endocrine system, detoxify the liver and relax the nervous system. The suggestion is to take six of these capsules a day. The cost of this supplement alone is enough to raise a red flag and demand evidence that it works before purchasing the system. Furthermore, the long list of things this capsule supposedly does is quite extensive and ambitious. It would seem unlikely that an all-natural capsule with no side effects would be able to accomplish the tasks.

Step Two of the system involves the topical treatment acne gel, while Step Three is a cleanser. Both of these products seem to be the typical all-natural acne treatment. While the ZenMed ads claim that the system will work for anyone with acne problems, it is unlikely that it is a cure for all acne sufferers. The uniqueness of each body and each individual acne condition requires different treatments.

Ingredients

Among the ZenMed Derma Cleanse capsules’ ingredients is an herbal combination of  burdock, milk thistle, dandelion and other natural substances. While ZenMed claims the supplement will produce amazing results for internal cleansing and balancing, there is currently no scientific research to support this.

The Derma Cleanse acne gel’s active ingredient is salicylic acid, and the cleanser contains witch hazel, chamomile, sage, rosemary and yarrow root, among other ingredients that have not been proven to eradicate an acne condition.

Conclusion

While ZenMed should receive kudos for producing an all-natural acne treatment system, the lack of scientific research on the system and ingredients, combined with the high price tag, make it a risky purchase. Reviews online are mixed with some people experiencing positive results and others actually noticing no change in their acne problem after weeks on the expensive system.

Furthermore, ZenMed states that the consumer should not continue use of the Derma Cleanse capsules after six months but gives no reason why. If the supplement is so effective, will the acne not return once the supplement is stopped? Or if it is dangerous to take the supplement longer than six months, shouldn’t ZenMed state the reason clearly? Ultimately, the high cost of the product and the unanswered questions lead one to look elsewhere for a better researched and more affordable acne treatment system.
